More than 20 organic compounds found on Mars – many for the first time

NASA's Curiosity rover has detected more than 20 organic compounds in Martian rock samples, including many never before identified on Mars. The findings come from analysis of samples drilled from the planet's Gale crater, revealing a diverse array of organic molecules preserved in sedimentary rock.
