Wi-Wi Is Wireless Time Sync at 1 nanosecond
Wi-Wi STAMP is a wireless time synchronization protocol developed by Japan's NICT, using the 900 MHz band for picosecond-level time sync and millimeter-level distance accuracy. Current prototypes achieve 20ps phase jitter and 30ns time sync, with next-gen targeting 5ns in real-world use. The system is housed in a smartphone-sized box.
