A developer created OpenYardage, a web-based tool that generates golf yardage books from OpenStreetMap data. Originally built as a Python application, it was ported to JavaScript to make it more accessible to casual golfers. Users can search for a golf course and automatically receive a yardage book, though topographical slope visualization is not yet available in the web version.
