AWS Continuum
AWS Continuum is an initiative by Amazon Web Services that provides a unified framework for building, deploying, and managing applications across hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge environments. Background
AWS Continuum is a new Amazon Web Services program that provides free, on-demand access to Frontier AI Safety Team (FAIST) infrastructure — a secure computing environment built to host and evaluate advanced AI models before they are publicly deployed. FAIST is a testing and evaluation framework created to assess frontier AI systems (cutting-edge models nearing or beyond current capabilities) for safety risks. The initiative reflects growing regulatory and industry concern about catastrophic risks from powerful AI, and positions AWS as a backer of independent safety evaluation. The goal is to give AI companies, researchers, and governments a way to test models in a controlled, classified-grade setting without needing to build such infrastructure themselves.
