How to Format 10-Digit Phone Numbers

The Associated Press Stylebook updated its telephone number format in 2024 to drop parentheses. It now recommends using hyphens: 212-621-1500 for domestic numbers and 011-44-20-7535-1515 for international numbers from the United States.
