Beeper is joining Automattic

Beeper, the messaging app that unified multiple chat services, is joining Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com and Tumblr. The acquisition will allow Beeper to continue its mission of creating a universal chat app while benefiting from Automattic's resources and infrastructure.
