Various open-source projects hosted on kernel.org have been removed from the platform overnight, causing concern within the development community about the status and future availability of these projects.
Background
- Kernel.org is the primary online repository for Linux kernel source code, hosted by the Linux Foundation. Many smaller, Linux-related open-source projects also use its hosting infrastructure (git repos, mailing lists, etc.).
