A Summer of Solar Cooking (2023)
The crew of sailboat Pino spent summer 2023 cooking exclusively with solar ovens while anchored in Desolation Sound, BC. They used a cardboard-box oven for slow cooking and a parabolic cooker for frying, saving propane and finding the method practical despite needing careful weather planning.
