Libraries Tasmania Research Fellowship

The author has been awarded a 2026 Libraries Tasmania Research Fellowship to explore Tasmania's space history, from the 1840 Rossbank Observatory to modern interplanetary spacecraft tracking. The project aims to connect convict-era astronomy in Hobart with contemporary deep-space tracking work, using resources from the State Library and Archives.
