MV Hondius Hantavirus Outbreak

In late 2022, a hantavirus outbreak occurred on the cruise ship MV Hondius in Antarctica. Several crew members were infected with Andes orthohantavirus, and one died. The outbreak was linked to rodents on the ship, leading to quarantine and an investigation by Chilean authorities.
