本稿は、未踏の地に住む極めて隠遁的な職人・達人集団を人類学的視点から再検討する。従来の探検的叙事詩を脱構築し、彼らの知識体系や社会構造を現地の視点に立って記述することで、「未知」という概念そのものを批判的に問い直す。
